Sound Therapy uses sound, music and specialist instruments played in therapeutic ways, combined with deep self-reflection techniques to improve health and wellbeing. The therapeutic sound and sound therapy techniques are delivered using tonal and rhythmic instruments. A therapeutic rhythm treatment/session is given using frame drum and therapeutic percussion comprises rainsticks, shakers, chimes and other percussion tools delivered in a specific order to maximise the therapeutic process.
The goal of sound therapy is ultimately balance and restoration, though we have seen emotional release of all kinds, such as crying, euphoria,
laughter, and even anger.
This treatment brings emotions to the surface, so oftentimes feelings that you are harboring will arise shortly after a session—or it could take up to a day for you to feel this emotional impact. Sound therapy also uses reflective techniques to enable a client to gain insight into their personal ‘wholing’ process.
